Governor is the most important unit there is in the game. If D&C would be chess, governor will be your king. Many important actions may only take place if you have enough governors. Every next governor will cost you 2 times more and will take 1.5 times more time to build.

Allows you to colonize other planets. Load colony to any transport you have and bring it to an empty planet. Then order to “Colonise”.

Containers allow you to transport resources, units and unit parts. Containers with resources and units are created in customs. Such containers must be customised after the transfer to another player before opening.

Containers with parts do not need to be customised, they are ready for use right after another player gets them, but you can only build units with foreign parts on the planet where parts are in the harrison.

Research

Starting from 9th technical level you`ll be able to build a research lab and start making a research. Upon a succesful research you will get a special unit – "Specialist."

Each specialist has its `active radius`. Of two similar specialists located within the active radius of each other only one will work – the one that was built earlier.

Scientists prefere solitude and don`t like working on a large and heavily populated planets. The success chance of a research is inversely proportional to the planet`s size. The speed of a research doesn`t depend on the production speed but depends on the corruption though. On a planet with 0% corruption the time needed for research is always equal to 10 turns. Having the corruption at 59% you will need twice as much time.

The chance of a succesful research is equal to POWER(your_TL;1.5)*POWER(your_NTL;1.9)/POWER(number_of_specialists_you_have + 1;1.3)/(15 + planet_size)*0.0006 You won`t get anything, however, is all specialists available to you are occupied.

As a result of a succesful research you might aquire a special unit – "Specialist". Each specialist gives you access to a certain technology inaccessible by your neighbours. The set of specialists available to you depends on your technical level, your race`s features and what specialists are located nearby.

The full set of specialists presented in the game is the closed information, but each of them gives you unique possibilities. Some of the specialists allow you to create special-purpose units or special weapons. Some specialists can affect economy in a particular way. Some do produce multy-purpose items. The specialist itself cannot be sold but most most of the special production can be traded either as a parts or as a complete unit.

Specialists differ from most units by having limited lifespan which is different for different specialists. The higher level is a specialist the more precious are his skills, the longer he lives and the bigger active radius he has. Few high-level specialists might have active radius bigger then the size of a universe itself thus no two such specialis can work simultanously in a world.
